Lin's question about BBQ's reminded me of a summer time BBQ dessert.
Margarita Pie

2 cups miniature pretzel twists
2 Tbs. reg. sugar
2 Tbs. margarine or butter
1 (6-oz) can frozen limeade concentrate, slightly thawed
1 quart (4 cups) vanilla ice cream, slightly softened
1 tsp. grated lime peel
5 Tbs. tequila (or substitute 1/4 cup of margarita mix for non-alcholic pie)
1 Tbs. orange-flavored liqueur (can omit if using mix)

Heat oven to 375 [degrees F.]. In food processor or blender, process pretzel
twists until crumbs form. Add sugar; process with on/off pulses to mix. Add
butter, mix well.

With machine running, add 2 Tbs. of the limeade, processing til well
mixed.

Place mixture in ungreased 9-in. pie pan. With back of spoon, press
mixture firmly in bottom and up sides of pan.

Bake at 275 [degrees F.] for 5-7 minutes or until set. Let baked shell cool
in freezer or frig about 10-15 minutes

Meanwhile, in large bowl for electric mixer, combine ice cream, remaining
limeade concentrate, lime peel, tiquila and liqueur; mix til blended.
Spoon into cooled baked shell. Freeze 2 hrs. or until firm.

8 servings
